I don't care what people say, this film is the closest I will ever get to being an astronaut. When I first saw this film I hoped any day that scientists would find that signal laced with interstellar plans for us to decode.

Mmmmmmm satire! I love this film. If you are taking it at face value, you're watching it wrong. Every quirk of this film is done for a reason. Down to the vapid Caucasian actors playing South Americans. I mean come on, NPH wouldn't be in a movie if it wasn't worth your time.

Steam punk! It's goood eats! This movie may be long and a bit boring, but once again, the visuals are stunning. The animation is intricate and complete.

I freakin' love this movie. It may be a guilty pleasure, but I'm not sure. So much of it is so brilliantly right. The whole world feels like its held together by spit and faith. Not only because of its budget, but also because of how corrosive our consumption will become.

Aside from the Firemen, this film exists today. Rather chilling.
